Bill Kenwright

Personal wealth aside, Kenwright is one of the best chairman’s in the premiership and the most passionate about his club.
The likely alternative is a billionaire investor who buys’s the club to promote a name or ego; it won’t be easy to find a billionaire Kenwright!

This is what annoys me.

Kenwright has blocked investment. Kenwright is trying to send us to a substandard ground just so he can make millions.

And whether you like it or not, there are cultural issues surrounding moving out of the city, whats more is that we WILL be handing the city to Liverpool (You dont think they will market this one club one city stuff?) What do you think Everton will market themselves as "One small borough, one small club?"

You dont think kenwright bought Everton to promote his name and Ego???

That is exactly what he has done / is doing. He has already stretched our debt to the absolute maximum and he will stretch it further by borrowing against a new stadium.

Can you honestly tell me how an alternative chairman could possibly be worse?

The only answer is that a new chairman may have sacked a top class manager (like Moyes) when he was under pressure to do so.

Other than that, I struggle to see how a chairman could possibly be worse?

No there are not. However, it is often a ridiculous point that is made by people who love Kenwright.

"At least he isnt some foreigner who loads the club with millions of pounds worth of debt" Yet as you say, it is a necessity, the winner is essentially the one who has the capacity to loan/borrow the most.

Its the ridiculous suggestion that kenwright is any different from these demonised foreign prospectives.

Kenwright refused a business proposition that would have enabled the kings dock, he did this because he wanted to keep control. At best this was because his ego likes being a premiership chairman, at worst it is because he was only intersted in schemes that would make him millions of pounds.

What is for sure, is he did not turn down Greggs offer for the good of Everton Football Club. He has lied constantly to our fans, FSF ETC.

Yet some people hold him up as if he was the type of chairman that puts the needs of a football club before his own.

He dosnt, he is just like the rest of them. Except no other chairman is moving their club out of their home city.

Kirkby is 9 miles away from Liverpool City Centre, this is the longest distance a football club is from a town/city centre in the premiership.

I think you may need to earn some loyalties here mate.

But please stop with the Kirkby is out of the city. It's boring and it's just ridiculous.

Well it seems the only real issue is the banter were going to get from Liverpool fans. So ******* what?

Do Man City fans give Utd lot any grief?

Trying not to turn it into a stadium debate, the offer from Gregg wasn't a very good one for Everton. The stadium may have been great, but once you take away the none matchday hospitality, concert facilities etc that Everton had no rights to, then add the payments to Gregg, it wasn't a fantastic deal for Everton. Plus LCC did seem to go cold on the idea, rejecting Everton's initial plan (which could have worked) and demanding a new plan at short notice. (They didn't ask for proof from LFC, and they've had years to find finances).
