if you felt he was insincere then fair enough to say but don't see any evidence for it. he has stood by the families all the way when plenty people said its time to forget about it. no idea if the stuff about the kop is sentimental but as someone who has cried several times since it happened maybe sentiment is needed cos other than that you can only feel anger. the comments about the other semi-final were really important. I walked away from that exactly as he said...from elation to devastation, then feeling guilty and stupid for taking football so seriously. only got over that when the findings came out last year. Bill has proved himself a true fan today and am so glad to be not just a blue but a fan again
First of all, thank you for a well reasoned response, unlike some of the other mean kids who said they are glad they don't know me and hurt my feelings.
Secondly, my feelings, my opinions of him being insincere, are just that... My own feelings and opinions. To me, he does not come across as genuine, and certianly not someone i could take seriously.
That said, he is a great public speaker.
Thirdly, my opinions and feelings do not have anything to do with the tragedy or the campaign for for justice. I have nothing but sympathy for all those people affected by that day, and i have no comprehension of what those people and familys went through.
Originally, i was replying in response to Little Joes post, which i happened to agree with.
Correct me if im wrong, but i honestly didn't think i had been offensive in my original post. It may have been slightly overly aggressive, especially for me, but the man just has that effect on me. He always seems to have an angle, and i don't buy into what he's selling.
Im sorry if i offended anyone.
