That is the most eloquent statement about what Eberton is all about I think I have ever read. Well said sir.
Very kind of you mate. Thank you to those as well that have represented us at these services today and every other year.

Great speech. Credit where it's due.
Two questions, though
One, at the outset he refers to something that happened nine months ago. A death in the family?
Two, and I'm not wanting to sound thick, but I take it the "greatest victory" he hopes Liverpool celebrates is the final resolution to all this in terms of clearing the fans of any blame.

the stuff about Liverpool mums shouldn't have made me cry but it did. met one of the women involved with the campaign few weeks back and just got choked up and hugged her. brave people and a great tribute.

The hillsborough enquiry.

His mum dying I think

I maybe wrong, not sure. It was 9 months ago., his mum passed away in July.

He got it 100% spot on. He even had them singing 'Merseyside' at the end.

We've always stood by them on this and today he did both us and Liverpool proud.

i know this sounds bad, but anything he says i cant take him serious

that getting passed over the kop to his uncle made me cringe tbh.

im just happy the the 96 famillys are getting justice.

Totally agree. He is such a phoney, and everything he says makes me cringe as well. That was overly sentimental and such a pandering speech. He comes across as slimy and doesn't sound in the least bit genuine. The whole being carried over the kop sounds like the bull**** fairy tales that are passed on by them to make their history more legendary. And a fair way off the old "boys pen" stories he usually spouts.

Oh, and "The other place"? Really?

BEST... SALESMAN... EVER...

This is not a go at any Liverpool fans or families, this is not me being in any way against justice for the awful things that happened...

This is me being amazed how a few trite words from an insincere man can blind so many people.

The man is a self serving illusionist, and this is his best trick yet.

I wouldn't trust him if he told me it was Monday.

I'am not a great lover of Bill, but fair play to him, he represented our club well and with class.
Well done and thank you Bill.
