I remember hearing somewhere that fans going to Goodison by bike used to be very popular. Not sure of 20s or something but could be way out there. Bikes would be just left everywhere outside the houses

I walk to the match, I was nearly late at the weekend. Any chance of the club building an airport style conveyer belt from County Rd to Goodison? Not sure on the demand for it but I think it would help local businesses as they can keep fans in the pubs for a bit longer before the game. I’ll email the club now and see what they say.

Must have been the case for all football grounds pre 1970 mate. And will be again, as the days of driving everywhere like a Ted are drawing to a close.

I think they're most likely being used by the staff who get there earlier and leave later.
