BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT?

In a word, well two, Rod Belfitt. Not because he was crap, even though he was, but because we swapped David Johnson for him.

How did that turn out, FGS?

To be fair, Belfitt was a popular choice amongst Evertonians before he arrived. Unfortunately Johnson never looked back after leaving us and Belfitt never looked forward.

In the last 20 years I would say John Collins was the biggest disappointment if only because expectations were so high.

Although I loved watching him play, and he scored some incredible and important goals for us, a mix of injuries, attitude and Moyes' square pegs meant we didn't see the full extent of McFaddens talent. He must be regretting it now as he sees a manager here who's philosophy would have suited him.
Joe Harper was a big letdown too; big fee but couldn't hack it down here. What is it with Everton and Scottish players/managers?

McFadden like Bily were too slow for this league. They were both capable of amazing things, its just they needed space and time with the ball, which in the prem nobody gets. I think McFadden would have been a good player in a good Euro league like spain and I don't think the goals he scored for Scotland in his prime were a fluke.

I'd say Vaughn. He had the look of a boss slotter and a endless motor, injuries sigh.

Davies was gash. Granted I wasn't expecting much, but it would have been nice to see anything from him.

Jacobsen was a decent right back. Hardly should be on the list and only played about 5 games due to injury.

I hated simon Davies although when we signed him I was like 'ffs' so not much of a disappointment. I knew it was a [Poor language removed] signing even in my tender teenage years. Andy van der meyde is easily the biggest disappointment as I was so hyped when we got him.

Terry Curran. Looked boss on a loan spell and tore Notts County a new one with a dazzling display then Howard signed him and he turned a bit meh.

Probably my biggest disappointment is that it didn't work out for Colin Harvey as manager.

olivier dacourt always peed me off, thought he could have been so much better.

seeing how his career turned out, matterazzi was a huge dissapointment for us, could have been so much better for us

They were boss players in a god awful team.

Hardly their fault.

Van Der Meyde biggest let down for me.
