We are hoping to play 38 League games, 7-8 Carling games, 7-8 FA Cup games and 18+ Europa League Games.

We have :

3 GKs - only 1 of which is any good.

7 Defenders - 1 of which is injured for a while, 1 of which will be going to the ANC, 1 who is 17 and another with not 1 Prem game played.

9 Midfielders - 1 injured, 3 youngsters and 1 unkown.

9 Strikers - 3 Quality, 6 youngish payers.

The team is very unbalanced. In my view we dont have the required quality, depth or balance to sustain a long and successful season.

14 of the squad are 21 or under.

In your view we wouldnt finish fifth last season mate.

You missed off the bit where we have players who can play multiple rolls and therefore have some cover.

See: Lescott, Neville, Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Anichebe and that.

I'd still like a few more players, cant see us finishing this transfer window without a couple of additions either.

Earlier would have been nicer but as those links point out, its not only us really is it.

And im sure others team will make more additions also. But the biggest factor must be us having the required quality to get thru the season.

And yes I said we wouldnt finish 5th last season, im saying we wont this season, lets hope im very wrong again.

Its great when im wrong, it really makes me happy.

Assuming Lescott stays, I would say just one player of genuine quality (£15m region) would make that difference, mate. If everyone is fit, which is a risk we have to hope pays off, getting that talented right-sided midfielder in, really balances things (let Nev and Hibbo fight it out for the back spot).

The only possible we're linked with at the moment is Obinna. Now I'd like him here, but perhaps there is a reason why he is only rated at £3m and is not Mourinho's future plans.

But I'll tell you something, we're gonna get to DD and will have at best a cheap player and a loan job in. And I'll tell you something else, watch Hughes come back in for Lescott on DD, with an ultra-high offer.

Hughes will make 1 final bid of between £22m-£25m. Then thats it, he will be off to try and rape some other team.

I can see us signing 3 players. We NEED at least 3 players. I just hope that they arent in the Peterlin, Coleman mould, no offence to these players, but I would rather we signed some players of real quality.

Get 2 yoof players who have pace 20 and dribbling 18 on Footy Manager - stick em on either wing and tell them to run.

League title here we come.

Just recently I've decided that should Hughes get no-one in, he'll just go for it big time with Joleon, and bid really high.

It certainly seems pointless bidding less than £25m, as Moyes would look like a tit if he sold at that price.

Non nerds diss FM, but the amount of players they get right is amazing. Over the years they have spotted so many world class players from the age of 16-17.

Davide Santon is the next big thing, 17 and already an Inter regular. Fm spotted him last year.

I thought maybe he would just say : "here you go £30m". And try and see what we do. But I think hes dug his heels in to be fair. He either wont bother again or throw a final offer on the table and move on.

Maybe, mate. But privately Hughes is almost certainly panicking, and he's made a piss-poor job of sorting his defence out. Let's see how he's fixed just before the window slams shut.

Tell me about it, lid. Known it for years. When Sven was at Citeh he practically raided FM to bag.

The big one for me was always Matias Fernandez, from 2005 edition when he was still in Chllie he was banging in 20+ goals a season and he's still class on the game. Still a bit [Poor language removed] hot in real life haha
