Yeah right, break dancing in his Wales tracksuit, spinning on his head I bet.

YAWN! I've told you an experience I had with a legend of the club, you don't believe me, fair enough. I don't need to justify myself to someone behind a keyboard. Have a good day sunbeam

Yeah, and it was in his twilight years too. He was amazing

aye mate, still doing the business in the later years of his career.

When we won the cup against the mancs and he was getting interviewed after the game and they were saying I bet it was one of his best performances and his face was like "you kidding, that was a quiet day at the office".

I believe you mate,I'm only having a laugh,you south walians eh,a bit strange,sunbeam:celebrate:

Never seen a keeper work so hard in a pre match warm up. As far as I can remember, he was usually the first player out and the last to leave before the kick off, which is why his kit was well soiled before they even started, adding to his 'bin man' legend.
This was in the days, of course, before organised 5-a-side style warm ups etc. (don't think Lineker even bothered coming out, preferring a warm bath as his pre match warm up).

Oh, and please chaps, no more mention of that Joe H..(can't even bring myself to write his name in full) in such a revered thread. Thank you.

Greatest keeper ever, wasnt bothered when fowards broke though the back because you knew who was there in goal.
Yeah remember it was a surprise if a forward beat him esp one on one.
Best I've ever seen
Class above Shilton who only got the coverage in 80s cos played for england

I agree, although if you read Nev's book (which I recommend folks) he claims Mimms was decent and didn't do much wrong.

I suppose Mimms was a good goalie, he just suffered due to not being Neville Southall.
yep, agreed groucho, however although we didn't exactly collapse(the other lot went on an unbelievable run)and you couldn't really apportion blame to mimms,I'm convinced with Neville there we would have seen it through pretty comfortably to the title, the cup final may have been another thing though as the extra terrestrial they had up front was the only fella who had ours and nevs numbers, doh!

The one Everton player I've had the privilege of seeing live and knowing that this is the best player in the world in his position.

The thing i noticed watching the video is his awareness of both his position and the size of the goal..
The amount of times he tips the ball just round the post or over the cross bar is immense
