I wrote to Fergie in jail, went to his first reserve game after being released. I'm a fan - but he was no Everton legend, certainly not in the classic way.Not on Cahills league - you'll get the instant kopite haters who tagged on to his one or two big game appearances( derby or utd) and would go missing for the rest!

Have you still got your reply cause I havent . I moved house twice in quick succession '02/03 time and lost all kinds of stuff - Me Arl Girl . THAT was among it . Me Wembley Ticket Stubs - all of them . Cricket stuff from 20 years earlier . Stone Roses autographed tickets . All kinds of [Poor language removed] , but Big Man's letter an' all . Ive met him loads since like . The kids had loads of bits , but Im still gutted .

He used to drink in Retro on Mathew Street, I had a boss conversation with him one night and then he let onto me a few more times in there.

It still ranx as one of my best achievements really.

I think Dunc was a leader and someone who the fans loved for his fight and determination in dark times for us. He lifted the club and fans everytime because of his pure passion and he integrated himself as an Icon from his very first game.

I don't believe Cahill is a better player and think if it wasn't for his injuries Duncan would of been immense. If we put Duncan in this team would he do better, I imagine so but we'l never know, equally Cahill on the end of Hinchcliffes crosses would of been awesome too. I think both will be remebered as fan favourites.
