The last three managers to bring success to this club.

(the only three in my lifetime as it happens :()

We hired Joe from.....Oldham Athletic.

Howard we got from Blackburn Rovers.

And Harry came from Sheffield Wednesday.

They all have to start somewhere......even the successful managers.
Could you give a few examples please, sir?

I mean, recent examples and not way back in the 1980s when football was an altogether different sport.

And at the highest level.....not at Bristol City in the lower leagues or clubs like that.

Let’s say we start circa 1992 when the Premier League started...and we want examples of managers at major clubs in that league being allowed to keep their jobs whike their club spent “a few years in the doldrums”.and who subsequently became successful with that club, rewarding both the club owners and the fans.

Thank you :)
Is there any particular reason why you're allowed to give an example from 1961 to back up your point, but you're imposing a cut off point of 31 years later for somebody disagreeing with you?

Owen Coyle anybody?

I'd like to go with Unsworth until the end of the season and see how it pans out.

It couldn't possibly be any worse than it is at the moment.

Did you not see us in the interim between Koeman and Alladyce, it was shocking with no reaction from the players.

There needs to be a root and branch investigation into the whole running of the club. We need to be ruthless and stop the jobs for the old boys. As much as I loved Big Dunc as a player he and the other ex pros etc need to go. Clean slate through the running of our teams and the philosophy that is applied. Get a manager in with all teams following the same strategy so it's easier to promote the youth as they will know exactly what is expected of them when they get their chance in the first 11.

Jesus christ, Biesla would be in GT5 chinning you ket wigged mings at the slightest hint of discontent.

He is not but that is going to the complete opposite!

it's a weird one appointing a manager, like when we had fat sam I literally would have said gary megson would have been a good appointment just because hes not fat sam

not Silva is doing so shockingly bad you just think anyone else will be an improvement

I say he's be good but no idea, then again he's never stayed at a domestic club for more than 2 years either

I don't think he got a long enough chance to make his mark on the team. Look how well he's doing for the U23's.
"No reaction from the players" Like now?

The past is the past and bears little resemblance to how things happen today. Back then managers used to get time. There wasn't a ring of well run clubs that earn twice as much money as the rest of the league to break into to start to even appear successful. You probably could have taken a club that was near relegation and with a decent manager and one or two signings you could finish 2nd/3rd the next year. Not so anymore. There also was hardly (none depending on the year) any Johnny Foreigner coaches around meaning likely you had to widen your search to the smaller clubs.

Poch has been an exception but you have to remember he was put into one of the top 6. If he was brought here would he still have had the same success? And by success just mean decent league finishes, he is still to win a pot.

If this is true it really shows how oblivious to football Moshiri is.

Have you seen the club record of Bielsa entire club career, he averages 12-18 months at the clubs he's at.

Since 2014-15 he's been at Marseille Lazio Lille and Leeds and before that he was at Bilbao for 18 months.
