2025/26 Beto

Think thead is one of the worst strikers I've seen here, with only Niasse, Angell and Stracqualursi being in the conversation with him, but you have to give credit where it's due and I think he probably had his best game for us yesterday.

Most of the time, I think opposition teams look at their most dangerous when Beto gets the ball because he's bound to give it to them and let them counter, but yesterday he ran channels, held the ball up ok and did well for his goal.
You take our princes name out of your mouth. One might make the case he was one of our best strikers post Lukaku

I think both Burn and Thiaw must have been delighted to have seen him go off, he bullied the pair of them all afternoon. Didn't give them a moments peace.
He did and he's got the physique to bully anyone in the league.

Even if strikers aren't playing well, they should still be a handful.

I always think if you see centre halves looking physically knackered at the end of the game, your strikers done his job.

We've seen him bully CBs all game long. We've seen him been an absolute handful.

We've also seen him not be able to control a ball, time a run, or head a ball in the right direction. Personally, I'd like to see him start ahead of Barry, but with Beto it's clear pretty quickly whether he's on his game or not. Change at half time if necessary.

Played well on the weekend. But will Barry's hold up be better suited to a game in which we dominate the ball?

I'd just start Beto personally, but can see the argument to swap.

It wasn't just that, the ball was actually sticking to him and he was bringing others into play. It's not as if he was just running around chasing defenders, he was involved with the play and using his strength to bully the defenders in those situations.

Unfortunately, he hasn't shown he can do that consistently, you might get a performance like that 1 out of every 10 matches.

If he starts today (he probably should), hopefully he can make it two in a row.
