He's just such a likeable guy, it's great to see him enjoying it here now he's free of the baldy troglodytes that used him like Ashley Barnes.

Aside from his purple patch of goalscoring, I genuinely can't believe how much his general play has improved lately. He couldn't trap a ball or play simple passes earlier this season. Just shows what some confidence and a good manager can do.

Did I read that Beto said Moyes told the players that they have a striker who prefers to run in behind off the shoulder and so instructed them to play through balls to run on to?

That's mental, even some of us fans knew this was how he played and yet Dyche opted to try and play him like DCL. Just something so simple and yet it has completely revitalised Beto and Everton in general.

Can't even say Dyche over complicated tactics or whatever, he literally played 1970's football but not as exciting or effective. Absolutely NOT playing to his players strengths.

Yeah, same deal, not playing to a players strengths, Maupay was never ever going to be able to play Doms role, regardless of feelings towards the little gimp, he was never as bad as he looked before he got here.

I think it's unlikely but he got on the end of a few chances in the last one so he doesn't really look off his game yet. Very few players can maintain this consistency for as long as he has so far. Even the bad game that he had against Brighton he won the pen that won us the game.

Keeper did well both times. On the positive, beto made both chances. He will get more if they keep defending like this.
