2024/25 Beto

Poor Beto was never given pitch time. And on the rare occasions he saw match time, it’s because we were losing with 10’ to go. Then Dyche threw him out there in a hoof ball system where the striker is alone on an island. And yet, despite all of the cards stacked against him, he made the most of every performance. I’d say his cameos were more inspiring and memorable than all of what DCL did the past two seasons.

I think Beto has a high ceiling. I really do. He’s bagged 5 goals in just a handful of matches. This guy could easily hit 15 goals a season especially when our entire side is healthy. He’s great.

There’s still no reason to sell him when DCL is likely leaving and performance wise, is inferior to Beto, Broja’s injuries will make a permanent move unwise and we have no idea yet on Chermitti (who could be really good, hard to say).

It would be madness to move Beto on when he is effective and a player that opposition managers and defenders will have difficulty planning for and playing against.

I would 100% keep, we’ll have to buy another forward anyway and let whoever it is fight for the jersey.
Think that depends on if we get a good offer and the way Moyes wants to play.
He may keep Him as Moyes hasn’t necessarily built his team on strikers.
I suppose we will have to wait and see how the season plays out for Beto, but right now and though he’s doing well I wouldn’t want him as our starting number 9 next season,
That may change in the next couple of months

I want to see competition from the summer for striker. My mindset is we should always be looking to improve. But I think it should also be proven why being our striker should be taken from Beto.

Worst I've ever seen at the club.. not even close.
There are guys in the 2nd division technically better and fitter than him

Words fail me just how bad he is, he's got to be one of the worst players I've ever seen wearing the Royal Blue and I've seen plenty.

It wasn’t a good 12 months mate, not even close… More like 12 games.

The worst finisher I’ve ever seen for a player who’s supposedly a striker.

Agreed - I can’t get on that bandwagon - I think he’s dire - worst touch of a CF at this level I can ever remember - get whatever money we can recoup for him and move him on

One of the worst strikers we've ever had and that's some competition.

Not a great option to compare to but it’s what Dino dyche perseveres with and I don’t know why?As a striker he’s awful as is his form again! on top of that it looks like he will be out the door and we won’t get a penny from whoever he goes to. For any 1 of these reasons he shouldn’t be starting he is offering us sweet FA.on the other hand Beto puts himself about is more capable of scoring, makes things happen and gives opposition defenders something to actually think about and will probably still be here after lewin has gone.

And that's been the catch 22 of the last year-n-half: do we drop DCL who often goes months without a goal and give Beto 10-15 full games to see what he can do, or do we stick with DCL because as bad as he is he's still a better option than the bloke who often looks like a Sunday league player every time he plays.

The real issue is how on earth we've ended up at a point where our choice is 'one of the worst strikers in the league or the other worst one' - and it'd be three if Maupay was still here.

Beto at 5 goals is sitting comfortably in a group of more famous players others in here have said they’d want. Keep in mind, all those other guys got 5 goals in 25 matches as opposed to 5 matches or whatever Beto’s run has been.

Have always taken life advice from Roy Walker tbf
