If he keeps it up, his best ever signing has to be Jelavic, as it's still early days with him, i'm inclined to say Mikel Arteta, I believe he is world class and should be in the Spain squad even considering the presence of Xavi, Alonso and Iniesta, at his best Arteta mixes the best elements of all those guys games, £2.5m, was an unbelievable bargain, selling him for only £10m was a huge mistake, maybe if we pip Arsenal in the league we can convince him to return. Cahill was ace as well, but he's obvious.

I was thinking Arteta alongside Gibson, not instead of, in place of Osman in the current formation. If we had a top class deep lying playmaker then with players like Mirallas, Pienaar, Naismith, Jelavic, Fellaini to look for I think we would be on the cusp of consistently challenging for the champions league spots.

From what I've seen I'd rather have Gibson there mate. I'm not saying hes a better player than Arteta but he's more effective in that role for us.

Baines for me, simply because he couldn't have done much more in the position he's played in consistently over the past few seasons, Cahill, Fellaini, arteta etc have all been great but not consistently as good as Baines IMO

Baines is a great player but he doesn't look anywhere near as good unless he's got peanut in front of him.

Arteta always swallowed it against alonso gerrard etc.

Feillani and jelavic are both world class I reckon. Can't choose between them.
