Cahill should never be mentioned in threads like these, he was just a PR machine intended to placate our fans during a woeful period without helping the team, not the kind of player I want at EFC.
wtf? I know we all have different views, but we all have one common goal and thats for our great club to be the best it can be, I had to read this twice to believe what i was reading. I never normally get involved with debates but whilst i wouldn't put Tim Cahill as
Moyes best signing, he is certainly up there. I believe strongly that Tim contributed a great deal to the club and that he was a fantastic buy. A PR machine? Never. Sorry but this has rattled me almost as much as the officials at the Newcastle game.
One thing this thread has made me even more aware is on balance
Moyes gets it more right than wrong in the transfer market.
Arteta for the same reason Paulefc states. He contributed, we bought him young and was great value and we sold him for £10m making a substantial profit. Martyn - for sure but I'm going to stick my neck out for Fellaini as I think he really is our stand out player and the majority of managers in the premier league would have him if they could. At £15m he wasn't cheap but when we sell him for £30m - £35m then he will officially be Moyes best signing in my eyes.
