Baines is one of the world's top 5 left backs without a doubt. How can he not be world class?
world class ray wilson was world class never had a weakness ,baines defending at times is weak to say the least , world class is a major statement . hes the best in this country thou azz

No one's really ****ing with Arteta, Baines or Fellaini. Pienaar is a step down from them since he took a while to get going and still didn't have much end product until the year Arteta had his injury. Cahill isn't as good as any of the above, as great as he was.

Jelavic will pierce the ABF strata if he keeps going. Mirallas and Gibson could do it as well. Moyes has played an absolute blinder in the market since January.

He's awesome on his day but i still think he could be a bit more consistent.

He's been very consistent so far this season. I think part of the problem with him being inconsistent has been the inconsistency in the role that he's asked to play. I'd still probably rather play him deep but he's been boss this season regularly playing as a second striker.

Jags, Baines, Arteta, Cahill, Lescott, Pienaar, Fellaini are all up there in terms of quality.. but..
Felli started poorly really despite being our joint top scorer in his first season and played out of position, Arteta ended poorly earning the nickname 'the crab' because of his inability to create a goal, Pienaar left and came back at a loss which helps illiminate him, Cahill went downhill before leaving, lescott left under bad circumstances which also helps, Jags has had a few spells of being quite error prone so.....

Just leaves the majestic Baines then. Consistent quality.. 8/10 nigh on every game, never stops, good crosser, good feet, good pace, good defender, good shot, good free kick, good link up.. Just class.

There's a few really good ones:
Arteta, Pienaar, Jelavic, Baines, Fellaini, Jagielka. I've enjoyed watching Arteta at his peak the most (he'd still do a great job for us in the Neville/Gibson role - shame), with Pienaar a close second. Give it time and Mirallas will join the list.

Thats pretty tough to call

Its between Cahill, Martyn, Fellaini, Baines, Pienaar and Arteta for me, for various reasons. Cahill best buy, Fellaini best player

Moyes would say Neville.

I think MOyes would say Cahill. But to be fair, Neville would not be far from the top. He's been shaky the last season, but his influence around the club is massive. He deserves a lot more respect than what some people on here give him

martyn , cahill, neville, and baines, jags carsley all been good and if we keep him long enough maybe felli but i have a feeling some one else will have the pleasure of seeing him at his peak, hard to pick one out

I pretty much think this is spot on. In order even. Deffo Moyes on a hot streak!

It's not even a close call, for impact per pound, points won with vital goals, longevity, spirit, enthusiasm, playing with injuries, heart & always giving his all - it's Tim Cahill.
