Solo is Marvin for me. Otis is the absolute king but he was on Stax. Sam Cooke is another favourite but he wasnt on Motown either.

My late wife and her twin sister used to do a lip-sync act to the Supremes back in the 80s and 90s. They'd get a friend to fill out the trio and call themselves the Cream Supremes. Had all the moves down pat. Actually won a lip-sync competition at a pub one night.

Motown facts. These may be wrong, as from memory. Bruce Willis released a cover of Under the Boardwalk on Motown. I have a faint recollection that the last single ever released on Motown was I Love Your Smile by Shanice. Going to google that actually.
