An old one for you is Freaks. It comes on TV every so often and is pretty weird and has a good ending.

i looove freaks ! watching that film is like being on acid.

i forgot evil dead is one of fav's too.

and talking of old video nasties , basket case and scanners scared the bejesus out of me.

You beauty Vim. I've been after watching this for years again lad. Scared me shitless this did as a kid. The 2 girls one covered in scratches, I was like "SHIIIIIT MUM CALL THE POLICE!!!" proper freaked out.
When all the cups etc flew around the room my mum actually made me and my brothers turn the telly off!

Wes Craven's first film and a pretty unsettling one at that. It was a good film but I find it upsetting viewing so wouldn't watch it these days. I remember the end of the film went quite comic. But the scene with the two girls was too much for me to take.

Just keep repeating, it's only a movie!
