Best Ancelotti followed by Martinez as both had us enjoying watching Everton in different ways

Their is no excuse for having Dyche and Benitez at this football club!!!

Them voting percentages have a distinct whiff of North Korea about them 🤔 🤔 🤔

Yes, i'd suggest he's folks favourite manager bit much is down to perceived quality and aura.
It's not perceived, though. It IS his quality and aura. He is on a different planet to mediocrity Moyes.

But, in terms of achievement here, Carlo was a mere cameo. Moyes deserves the plaudits for being our best manager in one of our very worst eras.

List so bad it makes Martinez look good. #1 Moyes, no #2 or #3.

Thing I notice most from the dross era is the lack of personality in the teams from the top down. Moyes teams in the 00s had more character 1-11 then the rest put together, was just fun to support the team in a way that completely disappeared.

Walter and Dyche were mediocre, but deserve respect for operating in trying circumstances. Club was falling apart around Walter's ears, and Dyche dealt well with a beefy points reduction.

Koeman and Martinez the worst - real fork in the road moments were a different manager would have completely altered the trajectory of the club for years [we had a spine of Lukaku, Barkley, and Stones around that time, with a weak goalkeeper]. Name a bigger fraud in world football than Roberto Martinez. Ronald Koeman? Yes exactly let's get him in the dugout.

My beloved Everton have seen both great and dismal.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

Founding Fathers, 9 league titles, the great Dixie Dean, the great Alan Ball and then the sadness of some on that list.

The comparison feels surreal

Carlo is the best manager to manage Everton in this period, but not the best Everton manager. I would argue his time here did us more harm than good, certainly financially, and on the pitch the rot really started to set in during the second half of his full season and carried over to the Benitez era. We needed Europe financially that season, it was in our grasp and we blew it. And he knew he wouldn't be here to deal with the consequences.

My controversial shout would be that even Dyche did us more good than harm, which would rank him above Carlo as an Everton manager.

The 1st year and a half under Martinez was probably the best i felt about Everton since Kendall days, we went into games thinking we could beat anyone, I remember going to Arsenal away and we played them off the park, the reports said they had to throw another ball on the pitch so Arsenal could get a kick.

Also a few nice trips into Europe, its just a shame the way it panned out for him and us.

Moyes yes has made us stable but I just dont see anything else with him, when it comes to delivering he always comes up short every time

Carlo was just a whirlwind but we were all desperate so it was fun while he was here

I'm 32 so I don't really remember much of Walter Smith aside from remembering that was around the time I started to support Everton because of Big Dunc.

I think you'd have to say the best is David Moyes #1 but my favourite periods of watching Everton have been 'brief'.

I really enjoyed the last one or two seasons of Moyes when we had Coleman/Baines and Pienaar/Mirallas with Fellaini. We played some decent stuff at times and there were a bunch of enjoyable games and moments.

Martinez first season was brilliant. Both the football played and the hope it gave. Seeing us have great senior pros like Jagielka, Coleman, Baines with young players in Lukaku, Stones, Deulofeu, Barkley really made me think we were going to properly kick on as a club.

The first four games of the 20-21 season under Ancelotti when Rodriguez, DCL and Richy were up front and firing. Thought we had hit the jackpot.
