Best city on earth

if we are considering not-quite cities or whatever, I'll switch my response to Bend, Oregon. Central Oregon, about 100k people. Right on the Deschutes rivers. Home to 10 craft brewers from Deschutes (6th biggest in US, one of my faves) to small. It's a beautiful place that is small enough it still has a little Norman Rockwell vibe, i.e. a sense of community. Weather is great.

Lots of stuff to do as well on the river, nearby hiking, Mount Bachelor for skiing. Portland is only a 3 or 4 hour car ride away, crossing Mount Hood en route, so scenic...

Of all the places I've been, Rome is the one I want to return to the most.

Of all the places I've been, Bend is the one I would want to move to the most.
I would LOVE to visit there, that sounds absolutely perfect. Any pictures? I can google like, but you've got first hand knowledge?

Istanbul is a dive. Not sure why people are suggesting it. It's a massive drug wormhole and full of very dodgy types.

Went to Helsinki once for two days, seemed an okay place to visit.
Amsterdam is a great city to walk in, cos it's flat except on the canal bridges :-)
Prague is really good, but no longer cheap :-(
Vienna is nice too, and Nice is also very nice.
Freiburg in southern Germany is scenic, in fact just about anywhere in the Black forest region is well worth a visit - every village and small town has its own brewery :-)
Bolzano in the Dolomites of northern Italy is a pleasant place to visit as is Chamonix in the French Alps.

Love Edinburgh despite the bad tourist vibe and taxis that whack another 10% or something on top of the fare when you arrive at your destination (cheeky twunts).

York is nice.

Hated London.

Leeds is sound if you wear ear plugs.

Liverpool still the best for me despite the obvious bias but then I've not visited New York yet.
