As you can see Sharp is the only one on both lists. The others on the first list were more out and out goal scorers but didn't give as much to the team in other aspects of play. The others on the second list didn't score as consistantly as Sharpy.

Possibly makes him the best all round striker I've seen in a blue shirt.

I'm the only one who has mentioned Fred Pickering so far. His record stands up against most other Everton strikers: 70 goals in 115 appearances. Quite some strike rate!

It's a sad indictment on some of the strikers we've had in my lifetime that Cahill and Naismith are probably up there on that list despite not being out and out strikers.

Alex Young - I only saw him a few times later in his career, but my Dad always reckoned he was the best player ever to play for Everton.
Joe Royle - Everton through and through, was then and is now!
Bob Latchford - 30 goals in a season says it all, him and Dave Thomas wow!
Gary Lineker - I know he was only here one season, but boy did he know where the back of the net was!
Rom - Scary to think his best years are still to come!

Close sixths and unlucky in some ways not to make the 5. Wayne Rooney, Adrian Heath, Peter Beardsley, Duncan McKenzie (what a player he was!) and for the influence he had on the team at the time Andy Gray!
