Any sort of money would be great for him, especially from a club that’ll take his wages as well. Lovely to watch on occasion but just no where near consistent enough. I’d prefer to take the money for him and give his spot to Gordon to see if he can develop into a player we can use.

Not at all.

Quite a few around 5m to 8m, only ever been 3 over 10m.

Can't see the reports being accurate, but even getting his wage off the books and any fee would be useful.

Although bringing Bernard to the Club was worth a gamble, things just haven't worked out for him here and I would be more than happy if Marcel Brands can offload him for 10m or so. The fee, combined with the substantial salary saving, would enable us to bring in someone more suitable to the way Carlo Ancelotti wants to set-up and play etc.
Personally, I don't see Bernard leaving in this window though.

He was always going to be a short term option , looks classy but offers little to no end product. Small loss to the squad if he does go. We could make a tiny profit if its 10 million depending how much we've already paid him , plus a signing on fee.
