He was decent today, thought he was our second best player going forward after lookman. Surprised to see the negativity on here

he is much better than pienaar overall. He should be compare with William or Coutinho, or at least aim for that level.

Here’s a little clip of what he is capable of. We haven’t witness his best yet.

Yes I'd agree totally. He works just as hard as pienaar too. Yep hence why he ended up back here.

Pienaar was better for us than Bernard has been so far. He didn’t get on the scoresheet often enough either though.

Bernard is technically better with more variety in his game. Pienaar game is centered around winning free kicks and having someone to play one twos. Individually Bernard is well ahead and capable of producing magic on his own. He is getting better every month and we will see his best at the end of the season.

Brilliant little player, lucky to have him, he will be our Silva, links well with Gomes, just need a nasty hard man in midfield next to them, be tempted to try him in the number ten role.

Give him time. Even world class players sometimes struggle initially with the pace if our league. I'm confident he'll come good and will prove to be a fans favourite. Definitely has more goals in him than Pienaar. He's a baller.

Disagree with most of that to be honest. He may go on to do better than Pienaar did, but he certainly hasn’t been better so far.

To be fair, when David Silva first game to the league he was playing well without getting that many goals/assists. I hope he improves and adds more end product. I can’t help but feel that if he was in the Man City squad (hypothetically) he’d be more likely to be used as one of the midfield 3 rather than the front 3 though.

If he was in the City squad he'd probably settle in a lot quicker as they play a game that very much suits his skillset. There would also be a lot more players on the same wavelength as him too. Our players need to get used to him just as much as he need to get used to the premier league, if that makes sense.

It'll come though. The guy's quality.

Agree he needs to add goals to his game but assist wise he can't help it if our strikers are crap. Even so he's still our joint highest assister
