He's actually impressed me with his defensive work in particular considering the size of him, works really hard,I am really hoping we will se an even better player next season after he has adjusted to the PL.

Not convinced. Just too small imo as the PL is really all about power. If he had Messi’s physique he would be ok but he doesn’t

You are gonna cringe about that comment when you sober up

I'm not drunk, there was a post yesterday that he has the highest average of chances created in open play.

He's obviously not the best creative player in the league etc. But stats like that hardly scream "he'll never make it in this league".

Barely though.

He's still thinking of what to do with the ball when he gets pressure and has to screen and lay it off.

He might have lit the Russian league up or whatever, but here it's intense.

And he'll adapt, takes time to go from a league where you can take 3 seconds to make a decision to 1 second. It'll happen eventually, he has a good football brain. As long as our fans don't expect him to turn into a player who scores double figures a season.

tbh I expected a *bit* more from him on the attacking side(goals). But the defensive side of his game completely surprised me. So, all in all, I'd say it's a wash. Like him quite a bit.

Whether or not he eventually becomes a player to fire us into the top 6 I'm not sure but I do love him. Lots of spirit for a little fella and a great little player. If he can learn when not to take a player on he'd be better. If a player matches him for pace gets side by side with him they knock him off the ball.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, his size isn't an issue. He is the most physical player (besides Gana) on the pitch right now. Not afraid to get stuck in. Makes some great passes and gets people on their feet when he dribbles. If he can add a few goals he's an absolute steal.

The 2 most committed players who got stuck in and worked their socks off today were also the 2 tinniest, Bernard and Ryan Fraser for Bournemouth.

He is visibly getting better as he becomes more accustomed to the physicality of this league. Mind you he made some rash tackles today and needed taking off before he was sent off.

He's done so much better in the last few games, very pleased with the improvement. The only issue I see right now is that he can't shoot to save his life, but hopefully he can iron that out in the next few months. Next season will be big for him once he's settled in properly.

Thought he did well today. Worked his socks off; I see a bit of Pienaar in him - technically good and able to get us up the pitch by getting fouled often; unfortunately though like Pienaar he's not a massive threat in front of goal.

Can't wait for him to mark Shaqiri in the Goodison derby. It'll be like WWF midget wrestling from the 80's.

He's really made me eat my words, if he can add finishing to his game, then we've got a player there.

If he can't add that, or at least assist a lot more - he won't be good enough.

Early days yet - more than most because of the standard of league he arrived from. Promising in parts, but I think fans aren't half over-egging him. If we had a striker, Richarlison would be wide left and he wouldn't be in the side.

This.

Could easily have been sent off today - two tackles spring to mind when he was about a yard off pace wise.
