Beni Baningime - Now of Hearts

….Hibbert, Jeffers, Dunne, Osman, Ball et al.
Ball, Jeffers and Dunne broke through in the late 90s and were gone by 2001. So for the last 2 decades we've had Hibbert, Osman and Barkley make their mark in the first team. That's the best we can do for 20 years of youth development? There seems to be a lot of money invested in the academy, and that's the return we get for it?

If that's the case, then Baningime is the beneficiary, not Everton.
I’m not sure mate but I’m guessing that’s what Hearts will pay us which is equivalent to what he would of earned if he stayed for the remainder of his contract.

So, it's his then mate as it's to settle his contract.

…i’m not defending it, but it only takes one every now and then and the strategy to bring in promising youngsters has been a success (Stones, DCL, Holgate et al).

From a purist perspective & feeding lower leagues, there will be plenty of our Academy products who have had lengthy careers in the game.

Rooney did ok.

I would say it’s not his it’s the clubs, why would we pay him for an extra year to settle his contract? That means we’re paying him to leave?
