I'd say that must have been a long journey home alright! Was there any other blues on the ferry to back you up?

I was with the old Dublin ESC. Probably about 15 of us to about 60 RS. Horrible experience, and just kept the head down.

Today, new Everton and Leeds shops open in Belfast city centre. So, you would expect adverts in the local paper, wouldn't you?

...just heard that the Leeds shop's opening has been delayed until Saturday "due to stocking issues".

At least my wife will know where to go for Christmas presents now! There are plenty of blues in and around the area. I grew up in a small seaside town in County Antrim and there were a good few of us of similar vintage (born 81) who were Everton fans. See quite a few out and about nowadays wearing the kit.

The initial feedback is that the shop is quite busy and that it is well stocked, with more stuff to come in daily.

Yep just had a look fanatics are running both the Everton and Leeds shops, both would have a big following in All Ireland.

I don't think that is right - Leeds United's retail partner is JD Sports.

Called in there. They're not doing the competition. Said 'oh that must be at the Rangers shop'! Never heard of any competition. Nearly had an aneurisym.

Everton confirmed its end of the split merchandise store, will open on Thursday.
Everton’s club store will be operated by its US retail partner Fanatics, which runs merchandise operations for a number of high profile sports clubs.

Leeds United signed an extended retail partnership agreement with JD Sports over the summer.

Both Premier League clubs said they are keen to tap into their sizeable Irish fan base.

There are quite a few Leeds fans of a certain age. Hoping I've misjudged our numbers but honestly, rarely see our shirts. So rare I usually speak to them when I do.

I'd imagine if it's being ran by a retail partner it'll be an Everton shop for a while then once that has run it's course it'll be fitted out for another of the partner's clubs and so on and so forth.
