Beer, revisited

This delightfully, highly flavoured beer has just come into our market:

It's a beast of a beer, and well worth the $15.00 asking price! Gonna grab some more tonight, and have a pre-birthday tipple or 5.

Some good shouts in here, Unibroue Maudite is probably my favorite. Abita Turbo Dog is good, Brooklyn Lager...

Favorite "everyday" beers are Yeungling Lager (when I can get it) and Sam Adams.

I'm in to wheat beers, and I usually drink the home city beer. There's so many craft beers to choose from in the US it's amazing.

Found a bar in my crappy city that had five Evil Twin beers on tap. Was shocked! That was one of them. Stupidly great beer. But can't drink too many of those.

have tried a few brews, and there are a lot to choose from, and pilsner Urquell runs it close, but this is probs best I've ever drunk

Please don't take me the wrong way now but.......I'm a lager man myself.....it's all I drink usually...... Now, I've never been to America ... And it sounds ace .... But... Do they do good lager over there ?

....Guinness, Guinness and Guinness. I'm also partial to Aussie White's, not sure if you younger folk are familiar with that drink but its nectar. When I was a youngster, Yates' Wine Lodge had sawdust on the floor and Aussie Whites was sticky and thick. It was falling over juice but is much more refined now. The folk I introduce it to love it, so try it.

Yates; always a safe haven, used to be 7 in Lpool if memory serves. 1 in the Isle of Man, 1 in Blackpool, 1 in That there southern london...and 1 for some reason out in the wilds of Derbyshire. My fave was the Charlotte St one, though after a bit the white was a bit too sweet so on to the Barsac a bit dryer.
In the lime street one there used to be a guy who knocked a small rubber ball from wrist to wrist in the hope of a liquid reward ( it didn't seem out of place then, but now wtf )

For a posh bevy the upstairs dale st yates
for an even posher bevy the Slaughterhouse was the place to go

Can't stand Fosters. If i was going for a lower strength lager would prob go for Becks Vier or Carlsberg, Carlsberg is weird as it genuinely tastes of nothing.

If I'm having a few then I'll get something nicer; Moretti, Corona, Brahma, Sol, Peroni etc... but for getting a bit merry before a night out it does the job.

Strange you say that about Carlsberg, because I can't stand the taste of that!

Well i don't drink it out of choice, there is just a good pub near me that does burger and beer, that's the only choice!

That depends. It's easy to find crap beers. But it's also easy to find good beers. If you're looking for good brews in the US, typically you look for someone that serves "craft beers" or any bar that provides a large selection of draft beer. In either case you should find something worthy.
