Beer, revisited

Probably not a top-5, but also tremendous is Young's Double Chocolate Stout

Only found this once, but the local brewery Abita released an oyster stout... marvelous

Leffe's a great shout. I'm ashamed to say despite my middle class routes I drink Budweiser and Stella. Lowering myself I know but needs must in this credit crunch.
I know the feeling!
Nice one, very much like La Fin du Monde. Almost too sweet for me, but a great drink. We don't many good selections among bitters over here, or at least we get the larger brews, but I'll look for Butcombe (sounds like a naughty name). Boddingtons in draft cans can be had around here and I probably need to revisit both Bass and Newcastle.
Not sure whether Butcombe export, maybe Roydo can help?
It's sometimes hard to balance the flavours, but goes well with a washed rind cows cheese :)
Butcombe brewery is near me. It is an ace beer.
Good brewery, i've had a few kegs off them :)
what about kropperberg mate.

Ask Roydo to get you some Hecks cider Carlos

Weissbier, yes please. Had a couple of Erdingers before leaving for our match on Monday. There was a promotion on Lidl last week apparently 2 500 ml Franziskaner bottles for 3 pounds. Got there too late :(

I'm a big fan of most Badger ales, Golden Champion is my favourite.

I also really like this one:

....Guinness, Guinness and Guinness. I'm also partial to Aussie White's, not sure if you younger folk are familiar with that drink but its nectar. When I was a youngster, Yates' Wine Lodge had sawdust on the floor and Aussie Whites was sticky and thick. It was falling over juice but is much more refined now. The folk I introduce it to love it, so try it.

My user pic was actually taken at a beer festival... love American style Pale Ales and IPAs. Love hops, but prefer something with some balancing flavors rather than just a hop brick to the face.

Dale's Pale Ale.

(in regards to cans, can lining/technology have improved and it's a better for the beer. Zero light damage. Even Sammy Adams Koch, who ripped Oskar Blues for canning Dale's 10 years ago has jumped on board.)

Odell's IPA

Deschutes - their Mirror Pond Pale Ale and regular IPA (Inversion) are enjoyable, but some of their seasonal releases are fantastic.

And while not a pale ale or IPA, their really limited release The Abyss Imperial Stout is a "elbow a lid in the throat if you must to get the last one" beer.
