Occupying a former 1920s bank building, the venue retains the character and grandeur of its original design, featuring high ceilings, ornate woodwork, and decorative detailing that give the space a unique sense of scale and elegance. It is not just another bar; the building itself tells a story, and the careful restoration means patrons can enjoy both history and hospitality under one roof.

The project has been led by The 1936 Pub Co, the same team behind other acclaimed Liverpool venues, and they are known for transforming historic spaces into thriving social destinations.

This approach gives The Queens Arms a distinctive identity that blends old-world architecture with modern pub culture.

Victoria Street is gaining a vibrant social anchor with the arrival of the venue, making it a must-visit spot for you when fancying a cheeky ale when the sun is out and about.

Ten Rotating Ales and Traditional Pub Comforts

What truly sets The Queens Arms apart is its impressive dedication to quality drinks and classic British fare.

Early visitors are praising the pub for its carefully curated selection, which includes a staggering 10 rotating cask ales.

For those who prefer darker pours, the bar features four different stouts on tap, including the sought-after Beamish.

The food menu leans into traditional, hearty comfort, specialising in hot pies and jacket potatoes.

The interior highlights the building’s former life, with period features kept intact while stylish contemporary touches add a fresh, inviting feel to the expansive rooms.

The combination of ambience and attention to detail gives The Queens Arms a feeling of occasion that is rare for a new city-centre opening.

A Dog-Friendly Venue with Live Sport

Beyond the architecture and the ale, The Queens Arms is designed to be more than just a wonderful pub.

The pub features sports on TV, ensuring that fans can catch the latest action in one of the most impressive settings in Liverpool.

Despite its grand aesthetics, the venue remains approachable and inclusive, maintaining a dog-friendly policy that welcomes four-legged friends alongside their owners.

With its blend of history, style, and approachable hospitality, the venue promises to become a favourite destination after positive reviews on its first official weekend open.

Whether you are visiting for the local ales or simply to soak up the atmosphere of a beautifully restored 1920s landmark, The Queens Arms offers a new experience in the heart of Liverpool.

Looks quite posh for a real ale pub 😂

Stunning restoration though, very “ Philharmonic “

Has anybody been to the Glen Affric tap room in Birkenhead? I'm thinking of paying a visit and just wondered on peoples thoughts. Do they only have their own beers on? Is it pricey? Any entertainment, TV's? Any scran on?

Thanks in advance.
