Beer, revisited

Has anybody been to the Glen Affric tap room in Birkenhead? I'm thinking of paying a visit and just wondered on peoples thoughts. Do they only have their own beers on? Is it pricey? Any entertainment, TV's? Any scran on?

I have mate but it was a good while ago, like pre-lockdown. Its a good space,,nice setup. They used to have guest beers, don't remember them having food at any point but that may have changed. I 'think' I remember them putting telly's in

Its a good place and the beers are great. They are kopites though so there's that to consider.

Its worth a visit, if its crap Gallaghers up by Hamilton Square is nearby. And if that's gone downhill get on a train, go to Dale St!

Taybeh is a Christian village in the West Bank, currently under constant violent attack from Jewish settlers, and Taybeh Brewery was the first microbrewery in Palestine, founded in 1994, and is the only brewery in the middle east to have a female brewmaster.

This is a tasty lager. Would recommend.

No idea, some piece of plastic. It came out when i poured it into a glass.

False alarm. It was part of a cap in my cupboard that had fell into the glass. I sent my complaint last night to Diageo.

Lesson learnt, don't complain drunk.

I knew someone who has one of those for his birthday, 50 quid on it. Went out for a celebratory drunk got bladdered and lost it. Went back to Wetherspoons next day to cancel it and they said hard cheese, once it's gone it's gone. There's a moral in there somewhere.

Had this before, and it's not lost any of it's quality. Smooth as a Rodriguez pass.

This actually tasted like a pale ale, which makes a change, very nice.

Might have a real beer tonight. Probably a Fin du Monde from Unibroue if I can manage to pick up a single at Trevor's...good stuff. Damn stuff entered my psyche from the middle of nowhere the other day and now the devil on my shoulder must be sated.
