Brewed by the Wold Top Brewery in Yorkshire for The Friends English pub in Milan, good stuff
There’s four more brews in bottles in the fridge, I’m waiting for a pint of hand-pulled Four B bitter , then I need some food.I`ve had nearly all of their beers over the years, as my brother worked in a hotel in East Yorks, that stocked their full range of beers and also at a mates local off the Yorkshire Wolds, that stocked a load of their beers too.
Really nice stuff, I can`t remember ever having a bad one.
As I was supping today, I was wondering what are people's favourite brewers. Have to say, after drinking beers from Peerless today, they never disappoint. I can honestly say that I've never had a bad pint from them, and it's usually too notch, they always make you wanting another pint. So, what is your go to brewer ?

Did Cotleigh take over Exmoor ?There`s a few for me :
Coniston Brewery - Bluebird and Old Man Bitter ( never had a bad pint, but they`ll only sell to pubs that they trust )
Brimstage Brewery - Oyster Stout.
Purple Moose - Glasyn Ale.
Wold Top - never had a bad one from any of their range.
Salopian - same.
Cotleigh Brewery, now Exmoor Brewery - same, never had a bad one.
Dark Horse Brewery.
Depends which part of the country I`m in.
I went for an interview many moons' at a pub on Dartmoor. They had a range of Exmoor ales. They were the tops, although the pub was like somewhere out of the Hound of the Baskervilles.Other way around![]()

Cains' mild was lovely. Hook Norton is another favourite, unfortunately, you rarely get it up here. They also give a percentage of every pint of a designated beer sold to a designated charity, which is really nice touch too.
When Cains Brewery was a thing here, Cains was one of my favourite breweries too.
A handful of pubs, which only stocked their beers, so the beer was usually always top notch.

I was living in Rock Ferry in the 80s, and there was a Cains pub in walking distance. I was never out of it ; the mild was absurdly drinkable, and cheap, as which was the style of the time.It was a dark mild that got you properly pissed![]()
