Good stuff this.

Strange Land Sanctum, a Belgian dubbel brewed with plum, liked this very much. No images I can steal, so a generic pic of Strange Land brew

Also really enjoying New Belgium's Portage right now. Very good.

Finally tried Dogfish 90-minute IPA. Can't figure out what to think, except that IPA isn't really my style.

Yeah, never really enjoyed that terribly much given the rep... and I am an IPA guy. And the 120, was a letdown given the hype and the $7.99 I paid for a 12 ounce bottle.

So the Evertonian who imports Fullers and now Baltika to Paraguay introduced me to some of the craft brewers here a couple months ago. This weekend the Craft Beer Society had their first anniversary party, limited to like 100 people, but one of my new amigos hooked me up with a couple tickets. Had 15 different craft beers. Most were good, better than most of what I can get here... but there were a couple I'd call "Supermarket Good" ... if I saw them at the Safeway in my old neighborhood in Tucson, I'd probably grab a six once a month, even with all the tasty Deschutes, Odell, etc options.

Like the look of the pub, right up my street. What's it called / where is it ?
It's called The Victoria mate, it's in Bristol, proper old boozer. There's 5 in the estate along with a 9 barrel brewery.

I've been working at the brewery the last few weeks as well, I'll do a post about it in here when I get a bit more time.

Just looked at the website. It would be a dream come true for me to be involved with a pub like the Victoria ;)
