How was it? I live in an area with a big Ethiopian population but have never tried one of their beers.

Are you talking about good traditional cask ales or the fashionable crafty stuff? For the former, I'd go to the Fly (in the Loaf), The Belvedere or The Ship (and Mitre).

If you're talking about the latter, I'd say the Ship again, Love Lane Brewery or The Dead Crafty Beer Company (just over the road from the Ship).

I think that may have been the first bar i ever went to in Liverpool, but was to young to drink then.

I'm sure he (Dave) is no longer there*. If my memory is correct, it's now owned by the people who've got the DockLeaf and Kelly's on Smithdown.

*I've had about two hours sleep so my brain isn't working at 100%
