Beer, revisited

It's L&G's 6th birthday today! Absolutely bakerloo so we took some respite from the hoose to join them for a beer. Given a tankard and a pint of the new north German pilsner for the price of entry but the star of the show was the new English IPA brewed in collaboration with Liverpool's Neptune gang.:

Came home with a six pack, proper IPA, none of this tropical hop-bomb malarkey. My home and my adopted home come together beautifully.

This was delicious, and very easy to drink.

Nice example of a Belgian trippel, has that candied flavour but lightly and quite dry so a good one for the summer.

De La Senne make spectacular beer.

They make a hoppy session called Taras Boulba which is one of the greatest summer beers at its price point. Refreshing, hoppy and brewed with traditional belgian yeast. Only 4.5% alc. as well.

Lovely brew in collaboration with Cigar City. This is a white stout, with maple, cacoa and spice. Wasn't sure what to expect from the description but its a malty, pleasantly sweet ale somewhere between a Vienna lager and a belg. Has a fab whiff and first taste of maple.
Cigar City - sounds like an abandoned gold mining town. lol
