Id say Donovan based on the fact that hes got more pace, more popular amongst everton fans, he loves the club, and I believe hes younger.

David is 35. LD is 28. David is an excellent dead ball hitter, passes well, defends well, but his pace.....*crickets*

He's perfect for MLS. EPL days are done. And I've seen him put heart, guts and brains into MLS games recently. He is a competitor. Father time has just caught up with him. He is perfect for a league that needs his skills, know-how and popularity - and that's MLS.

I'd say LD is almost the better financial bet - American TV rights, American sponsors and American eyeballs. Americans won't tune in to watch David at Everton, but they sure as hell will tune in to watch LD. And we spend lots of $$$$$ on sports. I'm not living in denial though - LD doesn't have the global appeal of David, nor his "brand", but frankly, if the team isn't going anywhere beyond England, it's not going to matter.
