Usually give out long contracts to those who have deserved it, what's Baxter done for the first team to warrent a 5 year deal?

Didn't you see all those first team sub cameos and starts at home to rubbish teams by the player who shined in our reserves?

No, neither did anyone else cause he never actually made it onto the picth unless we had 64 players out injured.

Haven't seen him play, but I would of thought if Moyes rated him he would have been given a longer deal. You know, protect our investment, stop him doing a Gosling...

Exactly. I'm actually surprised he hasn't let him go if i'm honest, just hasn't figured in moyes plans at all.

A couple of seasons back Four-Four-Two had that "hottest young prospects" for the season and Baxter and Rodwell were ours. FFS! This year it was Ross Barkley...

Im guessing he is early for training every day, works his bollocks off every day, chases every lost ball, and even stays behind in training, and is probably a very popular lad, and is a great example of what you need to put in, to make it.

Hence keeping the likes of him, and getting rid of Drenthe.

A season in the championship is the logical progression for Jose IMO. If he's good enough he comes back to us ready for the prem if not we see what his level is.

The Osman comparison is a fair one.
