Lots of talk on the internet comparing Barkleys solo goal against others (even Maradonnas).

My question to all is what solo goal was the best between Barkleys v Newcastle and Beckfords v Chelsea?

I think its a close call but I am opting for Beckfords as it was started from his own area.

Beckfords. People tried to tackle him as far as I can remember. Credit goes to Coleman for Barkleys goal as well. Blocked the defender who was trying to chase him back

Barkley's goal.

Beckford got a couple of lucky bobbles, once in his own half and then a second where it ballooned off the two defenders. It was the definition of a lucky, one off goal.

Barkley showed great composure for a young lad and despite having options around him (something Beckford didn't have), had the strength of mind, courage and belief in himself to go for goal by himself.

Beckford's goal was good, Barkley's was better though, in my opinion. I can see the arguments for both though.

I agree, Beckford got a fotunate bounce midway thru his run but he had players close at hand to him trying to tackle. Also he was totally on his own without team mates pulling opposition players out of position. Both great goals.

Beckford got a massice slice of luck with his I think.. At least Barkley controlled it from start to finish. Even Deulofeu's flick with his chest was very well controlled.

I personally love a powerful finish.

Both runs were pretty lucky. Beckford had some luck with some bounces, and Barkley's touch wasn't the greatest. If Newcastle didn't fall back his run could have easily been interrupted. He also had some luck with Coloccini falling over.

But Barkley's finish was tasty. I'd go with Barkley.

Glad i wasn`t the only one who noticed that.
A lot of our pacey counter attacks have Seamus in them, best attacking right back since Shagger imo
