Barkley to go out on loan?

Best thing for all concerned. He isn't ready for are 1st team and will learn a lot more playing in the Championship then playing for our rezzies or sitting on the bench.

If he goes to Wednesday as rumoured I'lm sure Dave Jones will have the players best interests at heart.

As much as I'd love to see him in a royal blue jersey all the time, I'm all for this, it would undoubtedly improve him.

I can't help but agree with most others: this is a good move. Moyes has a track record of bleeding them slowly, and playing 3-4 league games plus possibly cup matches just isn't enough for him now.

That said, if he does go out on loan, he had better play, and not sit the bench.

I guess not everyone can be like Rooney and play at 17 / 18 at the highest level. Maybe loaning him out is for the best but it's a lilttle bit disappointing for all of us who hoped to see more of him this season.

I'm glad he's going to a big club with big attendances rather than Peterborough or someone. More likely to cope better with the pressure of a packed Goodison that way.

I have no problem with this. Moyes obviously isn't going to give him a crack at first team football if he stays, so why not move him on loan to a club that will possibly play him every week instead of shipping him to reserves. I'm sure he will get games at Everton this season if he stays, but I'd prefer him crack a first team and play regular football.

Honestly, if he's not going to play regularly for us, right or wrong, he needs to go out on loan. If he can't boss the Championship, what makes anyone think he could slot into our first team. There is still a little thing called EARNING playing time. If he's all that (and I hope he is) he can go out on loan and dominate the Championship. Give Moyes something to think about.

The biggest testament that Barkley is not ready for the premiership is the fact that none of the so called rich big clubs have bid for him.

We all love him and want him to succeed and yes play as many games in the first team as possible but you can't blame Moyes or the coaching staff if they don't think he is ready.

i am all for him going out on loan with the stipulation that we can call him back. Moyes knows his first team and what works we all know that and have to accept it whether we like it or not. At least with this he is not letting Barkley rot on the bench like many of us thought he did last season when we needed a spark.

It worked wonders for you Duffy to go on loan and play first team football and he is a sure bet to start more for us soon enough i think.

Hmmmm, so after a handful of games ýou were expecting a big bid for barkley from oneo of the champs league sides....

REALLY ???

I'm really excited to see him play for Wednesday. i'd love him to dominate there, get a bit of confidence and come back ready to play in the premiership.

Playing high standard games every week would benefit the player enormously .He simply isn't ready yet to play in the premiership every week and reserve team football would be a waste of time for him.
He needs the final piece of grroming that only regular football can bring.
I think the manager probably wanted to use him more last season, but injuries ,a lack of form and the fact that Everton were forced to grind out just about every point they won meant that he couldn't be introduced into the team.
