I'm sorry but it's absolutely ludicrous you suggest a player has been called up for a world cup qualifying match for sentimental reasons. It's nice that it happens to be Bradley being the mascot, but Defoe is there for football first and foremost.

It's not really about the players age really, I was just having a free shot. For what it's worth, Deli Ali has earned a full call up over a decent length of time. It's a bit too soon for Davies this time around.

i dont want davies anywhere near that toxic england camp. Same goes for any of our players. Some with all our Belg players too, they seem to go a bit mental when they go on international duties

It would have been ridiculous to put Davies straight into England squad. He's not done enough to warrant it yet, he's only started like 10 or so games in his entire career !

Took Rooney about 30 odd matches before he got his first cap and he was a friggin worldbeater.

Probably the worst time for Barkley to go back into the snake pit with only a year and a bit left on his contract. You can just imagine them giving him career advice, 'come play for one of the ssssssuper teamss Rossssss'.

When really they should be saying 'you know Jack Rodwell...'

However I am pleased for Ross to be recognised and hopefully that will further boost his confidence. I'm also happy for Defoe but surely he will be past it by next Summer, in which case what's the point.
