This is a sad day for Everton and a sad loss for GOT.

AB, you have our condolences. It must be like a death in the family to you.

I hope a compromise is forthcoming, although it does sound like all options have been discussed.

That is how i felt when it happened, even now as i think about it time and time again i still can't get my head round it

I am very saddened to read what has gone on. I always looked forward to reading your reports AB :(

To be honest though nothing suprises me with how things are run at times. I havn't actually paid to attend a match since 2007 after completeing some graphics and not even receiving an acknowledgement let alone what was promised. I find at times we as fans are treated with contempt and I find that heartbreaking as Everton are like an extended family that I love dearly. Things have changed so much regarding football that i find it difficult to associate with. The 'game' has changed so much and not for the better :(

I hope the club will allow common sense to prevail and change their stance on this matter AB.

take the positives out of it mate, the g.o.t branch of the everton family have shown how much they are behind you, nice to see

if i read between the lines they obviously view you as a security threat leaking strategic information to the general public through the social media - surely they cannot ban you as a spectator if you do an unofficial match report afterwards - the direct contact with players is voluntarilly and if that is not allowed players must not be allowed to go on twitter -
the money game is a dirty game full of spies and counter spies leaking and stealing information to get at your competitors - you are just a sad victim of their suspicion -
money people control access to information religiously and pay spindoctors lots of money to spin a good storey for the masses who cannot think for themselves -
good luck but i am afraid your carefree freelance days are numbered - and we shall all be poorer as a result thereof -
free access to information - what the hell is that ?

Agree with this, we must have some hot shot new talent that we want to keep under wraps.. We know how much the club hate selling our future stars like..

What I can't understand is that most other clubs encourage supporters to attend Academy/Reserve games. LFC as we know have their tv channel and their games are shown all the time on there. LFC also play their Academy/Reserve games in actual stadiums that the public can access and attend, at the St Helens rugby ground. Other prem clubs play their games at the clubs home stadiums and encourage fans to attend. Everton's mentality at keeping things behind closed doors and secretive in this day and age is simply bizarre. It's not like the clubs covers their youth team sufficiently as it is. There's no proper Everton tv channel on satellite tv. Clips of the games on the official EFC site are as far as it goes. The fact that Bally can watch Everton Academy/reserve games away from home, but not at home, is simply bizarre.

I actually hope Bally does just that. Maybe he can call his column 'Blues Away From Home' or something. I'm not being flippant, he should genuinely keep going and show them he's not going to disappear despite their efforts to make him.

Copy of email I sent to Mark Rowan

I am emailing you in disgust of your treatment of Steve (a.k.a Alan Ball).

We are the peoples club, you are only a custodian in a temporary job.

Please do not spoil our clubs reputation any further.

Is this because the club only wants us to read their "official" version of events?

Until further notice I will not be supporting your "official" policy. I will be refusing to buy the "official" club mouthpiece THE MATCHDAY PROGRAMME.

I am aware that if other people followed this lead the result could be damaging to OUR club, but feel it would have less long term affect than the current custodians behaviour in dealing with an EVERTONIAN

seen blue Bills email- forwarded their aswell

the clubs Facebook page currently has a big promo on for the club shop. Feel free to leave a comment as to why you won't be spending any money with them this Christmas.

just to add i am disgusted by your treatment.i am also a 50+ evertonian and can understand your long term love of the club.but as in life everywhere there are little minded bureaucrats who think they are far too important for themselves.

intervention by kenwright or moyes needed to sort this out for the fans
