Almost certainly imo. The fans are trying to implement a besieged mentality. They know they were the underdogs in this round and they know they will be massive underdogs in the semis. This is what they think they have to do to close the gap. Obviously Madrid, Barca and Bayern all have ultra (proper ones) supporters themselves so it won't be anything they haven't seen before. I think they'll be pissing themselves laughing actually on the bus when the pink flares start going off.

Uefa won't do a thing.

The RS are a tv cashcow for UEFA and BT will probably see a rise in tv viewership after the gradual slump since they got the rights because of them being in it,IIRC i read that UEFA were concerned about the TV audience figures from BT and were courting SKY to get rights back.

Plus UEFA will use an excuse of "we only act when it's in the stadium",it will be a pittance of a fine and brushed under the carpet and forgotton.

Uefa only care about ty numbers,advertising and money,you only have to see how pathetic they are in regard of racism by fans in away ties ineastern european games in the CL and Europa league.

And as they now feel that display played a major role in City’s no show, we can expect a repeat performance for rhe semi final.

This is demonstrably a public order and a Health & Safety issue but the authorities are totally unwilling to tackle it.

Further to this, not only did those scumbags across the park unsettle Citeh last night, they also ensured that their own team coach will be extremely well protected next week, for fear of reprisals.

A very good night for them all in all. City as they see it “put in their place” on and off the pitch.

Whatever so-called punishment is meted out is entirely irrelevant.

It just doesn’t seem to register at all with the very large thuggish element of their support that someone could have been killed or seriously injured when this frenzy was whipped up last night.

For a club with such bloody history, I find their dismissive and holier-than-thou attitude to be appalling and hypocritical to the point of being stomach-churning.

About this, was talking to the wife about the route the bus took, those fans must of been there a few hours and the police knew it, so why didn't the police reroute the bus, I said to her that instead of the bus going up Arkles road and turning right onto Anfield rd and through the crowd, it could've been diverted on to west Derby rd bown Belmont rd past the kop on to Walton land then up sleepers hill and on to Anfield rd, the police could've blocked anfield rd to stop the crowd from moving till the coach was safely in the stadium. The officer in charge should've for seen the trouble before it ever got to the stage it did.
