There was some debate a while ago about whether moyes thought he could cope physically at left back (what with him being quite short) but I think that debate has been put to rest since he has broken back into the team, he has been outstanding and is vital in our attack play IMO.
Made up for the lad with this call-up and hope he gets a start or even a subs appearence. fully deserved.

He definatly deserves it. He has proven he has the quality.

For me he does need to work on his defending abit more. He sometimes gets carried away with attacking and forgets to get back etc...

But it takes alot ot push Yobo out the team, congrats Baines

This also says alot for Moyes, Baines, Lescott and Jagielka. 3 England call ups - and their first England call ups - were under Moyes.

Baines is surely one of the 3 or 4 most improved players in the PL this year, and he fully deserves his call up. He's offers real width and attacking options down the left, and has made the position his own. Best left-back we've had for 20 years.
