I think when a player like Baines says the club has had to sell it tells you everything mate.

Can add Johnson to that as well.

Not sold a single player of quality who didnt want to leave since Dunc.

Every club barring Man City have to sell to buy these days. Simple economics of scale.

Admittedly, some clubs will stump the buying cash up before recouping it back through sales. But the principle is the same.
We're obviously in a much worse position in respect of cashflow as it's always out before in.

To be fair we say they are our best players leaving, but we havn't exactly won much with those players have we?

Although I get the point. I'd rather have Baines, Arteta etc... than not have them.

Some clubs do it to clear dead wood, some do it to survive. Guess which category we fall into.

Sounds like Bainsey's sick of it anyway, and it must be a dressing room issue.

Well, if we'd kept (or more precisely, been able to keep) Rooney, Lescott, Fernandes, Pienaar, Arteta etc do you think we'd have won something by now? Very likely I'd say.
