Distin was scarey last night everytime he got near the ball he looked terrified. If Colemans fit Play him, if not as Davek says maybe Oviedo . Though it´s a tough one to call. Jags could play right back with Stones for Jags at center. Lets see who plays there at the weekend I would like to see more of Alcaraz but for the derby i dont think he´ll will or should start even if he´s fit.

Suppose that might be a possibility, what with Alcaraz being decent and Stones showing he's more than good enough.

No point having Heitinga on the books and with three centre backs plus potentially Duffy back do we need Distin next season? His form is bound to drop sooner or later.

Incidentally does anybody think Hibbert may retire at the end of the season?

About 130k a week saved on Distin, Hibbert and Heitinga... 6.8m a year.

I know we wanted Aldweireld but couldn't get the funds in time (in the summer) if we had got him in i would have supposed Distin would have been a bit part player until the end of the season which would have been better.

I would actually like to see Oviedo at RB; he's an excellent left back and had no problems playing on the right hand side yesterday. Not sure I want to test Stones there in a derby, he is a CB in my eyes, regardless of how much he might have played at RB.

And as much I love Distin, got to agree with the people asking for Alcaraz. I think he's a smarter CB who'd handle Sewerez a lot better. Or at least give him a nice little stamp.

It´s about experience . Suarez will be doing his best to win every foul he can . Is Stones mature enough ?I do not doubt his ability .
