Would you guys prefer to see an experienced, albeit largely second string, team try to get a result against AZ, something like this perhaps:

Wessels
Hibbert Jags Lescott Valente
Pienaar Carsley Graveson McFadden
AJ Anichebe/Vaughan

Or would you be happy to perhaps sacrifice the result and give the youngsters a go, perhaps with something like this:

Wessels
Hibbert Rodwell Irving Boyle
Kissock Carsley Graveson Vidarsson
Lukas Vaughan

What say thee?

a mixture. i think jags, is still fresh and learning his position at CB so he should play 90 minutes for the discipline and experience of it. Want to see Gravesen play and members of the first team that have had cameo roles - Rodwell, Irving, Boyle, Kissock, Vidarsson and Lukas will doubtfully play any role this season in the first team, so would rather see the bench warmers on the first team getting a run out, as they'll be needed this season and could do with some game time. Should still leave some room for a few kids to get some experience, even if only on the bench.

Im going to ask this eary, as, in the recent weeks its been put up very late if not at all...so...

TX believe me he is through, he is an ex-blue, shuffled off the GP surface, a dead footballer gone to the ground invisible;) ;)

Noticed this comment from Moyes on the AZ site:

The Dutchman Andy van der Meyde is still an Everton player. Moyes has not written off the former Ajax forward, although he has hardly ever featured in the first team this season. “He would have played tomorrow night, but unfortunately he has sustained an injury and required stitches in a gash on his leg. He is a good boy. He must keep on working hard to make a comeback to the team.”

As far as VDM is concerned, why is this the first we've heard of this injury, whispers coming out of the club don't match so I find the story very strange.

On the other hand just think of the excitement that must be running through the bodies of those young lads embarking on their EFC careers, oh you lucky sods enjoy yourselves and uphold the true traditions of EFC, unlike some

I am excited to see how many young player would make the starting line up, 1, 2 or could it be 3 (unlikely)!

Heard Moyes might let Rodwell comes on to play some part, lets hope we score 2 goals before 2nd half start!
