Yeah. Seeing footage of a mob kangaroos literally running for their lives across a charred landscape is a very sad watch.
He cherry picks a little data that supports his argument, but ignores mountain of data that says the contrary. The mental gymnastics astounds me.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic but if not. Wildfires most certainly happened 200 years ago.
The aborigines or natives prayed to a fire god. When the trees combusted due to it being so dry they thought it was a godly act. So they prayed and worshipped them. There are plenty of writings and drawings off such.
Wildfires will always happen in dry climates where there is a lack of moisture and rain. The difference is the verocity and the amount of things it can burn nowadays. Even drier climates and the more apparent lack of rain help too.
