I can see them bringing about 200. Our away support is top draw in terms of numbers but where not that loud away from home during the game either. Did you hear United at Southampton last week? None stop vocal support during the match, im sure the players react to that positively just like it has a negative effect on them when were on there backs.
That United chanting is moronic and just becomes a din.
People who spend a whole game chanting things like "van Gaal's red and white army" lend nowt to the atmosphere nor would they lift the players, IMO.
When Goodison is at its best and rocking, the chants are short and loud.....and the crowd creates a wall of sound which drives the players on.
Great roars rise round the Old Lady as the team pours forward.
You can't hear yourself think.
Those Crystal Palace "ultras" ruin any televised game for me......they keep up the same mindless, repetitive bollox no matter what the situation......the team has a free kick on the edge of the box, no one is concentrating on the game, they are too busy jumping up and down, trying to get themselves noticed.
It is especially bad when there is a corner over by where they stand....that is when they know the cameras are deffo pointing in their direction so they pump it up even when it us the opposition taking the corner.
Our away fans are great.....always have been....always will be.
Those young lids today are keeping up the proud traditions of the 70s', 80s and 90s.
And they ain't seen us win things or have epics like the Villa Trilogy or the Sheffield Wednesday and Boro replay sagas in which to hone their skills.
Us fans who just go at Home are quiet most the time these days but as has been said before, the football on show at Goodison this season for all but the first 70 minutes of Arsenal could be used as a cure for insomnia.
