I voted Holgate purely because he kept trying and showed some attitude even though the rest of the team didn't seem arsed.

Probably was Stek though

....Holgate got plenty of stick for his performance in his own thread but I thought he was ok. He plays like the game matters to him. I went for the goalie, best of a bad bunch and kept the score down.

Last night's viewing made me think of the stuff we played under Smith but without the crude methods of creating chances.

No doubt a talented group of players, but what the root cause of their malaise is I have no idea.

From last night, Rooney looks like he could do something and still has something about him. Ramirez looked smarter when he came on. Stek acquitted himself well. I was very worried by Baines, he looked a shadow of his former self. But very poor performance.
