Something seems wrong. Really wrong. Whilst performances weren't outstanding before the transfer deadline, they weren't disastrous. Showed plenty of heart and fight at City. Stoke was boring but solid. The qualifying games were ok (at best).

But Chelsea onwards has been a complete and utter horror show. Like the bottom has just completely fallen out. No shape, no passion, no fight, no width and no quality. Really distressing.

And there's no obvious excuse for it. It's just dire. And I sense it will get worse on Sunday.

At the risk of sounding Davek-like, I think habitual losers like Jagielka and Baines might need moving on. It might be a similar case to when John Terry was seen to be a bad influence in the dressing room. These guys who have never won a thing seem to be passing their losing mentality on to the newer players.

That's my only excuse for this utter dross anyway.
