McNeil and Mykolenko are going to start.
We should just persist with Dibling and Aznou until we have the rest of the group back.
Tend to agree with this, while our best players are out it does feel like a bit of free hit, so why not, unless were are getting battered at ½ time and they are clearly the weakest link, then maybe swap them to prevent an embarrassing scoreline.
Suspect the problem would be Moyes wont go with the best form of defense is attack and those two are, by the looks of it, needing to be on the front foot to get the best out of them.

Could do with a result today, even if it's unlikely. Can't help it but the trauma of the last few years has me getting a bit twitchy when any of the relegation teams pick up points. I know it's stupid, but the sooner we:re safe the better

Elon doesn’t think we stand much of a chance. :-(

The upcoming match is Aston Villa vs Everton in the Premier League, taking place today (January 18, 2026) at Villa Park, with kick-off around 4:30 PM GMT (UK time).

Aston Villa are strong favorites heading into this one. They are in excellent form at home, having won their last 11 home games across all competitions, and they boast a dominant recent record against Everton (unbeaten in the last 13 meetings since their 2019 Premier League return, including wins in the last four at Villa Park). Villa sit high in the table (around third place in many reports), chasing top spots, while Everton are mid-table (around 12th-13th) and dealing with several key injuries/absences (e.g., multiple midfielders and defenders out or doubtful, like Idrissa Gueye, Iliman Ndiaye, and others).

Betting odds and predictive models reflect this clearly:

- Implied probabilities from major sources put Aston Villa's win chance at around 55-64% (e.g., moneyline implies ~61%, Opta supercomputer at 64.4%, other models at 58-59%).
- Everton's win probability is typically 16-22% (e.g., 18-20% in most models, as low as 16.6% in Opta sims).
- Draw chance hovers around 19-25%.

Many previews and tipsters expect a Villa victory, often by a comfortable margin (e.g., predicted scores like 3-1 or similar), though Everton could nick something if they capitalize on counter-attacks or set pieces (especially with players like Jack Grealish back and creating chances).

Everton have shown some resilience away recently but face a tough task here against a high-performing Villa side. Overall, Everton's realistic chance of winning is low—roughly 1 in 5 to 1 in 6 at best based on current data, with a draw more plausible than an away win, but Villa are the clear team to beat. If you're watching or betting, Villa to win is the consensus lean. Enjoy the match!

Watching Pep not being able to prep for a new Man U set up yesterday, I'm going rouge to bamboozle Emery.

Start with Harrison in the false 9, Dibling and Grealish are told to shoot every chance they get while swapping intermittently, Aznou and Patterson free range to bomb on when free.

Look to finish with 2 up top after we've run them ragged and can bully their back line.

Ave it! 3-0 to the blues.

Don’t over do it or you’ll end up looking like widow Twankey

Gentelman, colleagues, countrymen, this is Moyes of which we speak... the line up will be:
Pickford

Patterson - O'Brien - Tarkowski - Mykolenko

Garner - Armstrong

McNeil - Rohl - Grealish

Barry

His only choice to make, was to play Patterson, Coleman still not ready and can't afford to spare Garner or Rohl from the midfield so Patto it is.
Hopefully we will see Dibling and Anzou from the bench as Grealish tires and McNeil sucks.

Leopards, spots etc.

I don’t think he’s ever going to be ready again mate.
