I was expecting a battering but hats off to the lads. Great away performance and didn't actually look like a weakened team. Surprised at how well we nullified Villa's midfield and forwards. Didn't see Watkins do a thing really - not the best when Tuchel is watching.
Tuchel eh? He said he was keeping tabs on Jimmy Garner. I wonder???

Brilliant result! 3 more points. COYB’s!

I thought O’Brien’s Goal was offside, I fully expected it to be disallowed.

The ref again was odd, he let somethings go, like Tarky getting battered by Pau at every set piece and players getting shoved to the floor, Beto for us and Rogers for them

Barry’s Finnish was so good. When the ball comes back like that the temptation from the forward is to hit it hard and low and it just goes into the keeper. But he has the presence of mind to look, lift it over the keeper and into the empty net.

Very nice to see from Rohl after very worrying performances. More game time under his belt and starting to look like what he was flashing at the start of the season.

Armstrong showing that he’s comfortable at this level.

Patterson showing that whilst we still desperately need a right back, he is the ONLY suitable option we have there at the moment.

Challenge now is for Moyes to just not remove these guys from the starting line up as soon as other players are back immediately. Let them recover fully and provide the best competition for places. Dont want KDH’s hamstring exploding again because he was rushed.
